The secret to living well and longer – uncover the ease in disease.
"The secret to living well and longer is:
eat half, walk double, laugh triple and love without measure..." Tibetan proverb
(I know I’ve shared this before but it’s worth repeating.)
In her book, Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer arrives home to an empty house having dropped her younger daughter at college. There, on the porch were eighteen notes and presents, one for each year of her mothering, left by her cousin, her “fairy godmother.” The first note, “take comfort,” began the unfolding of notable gifts. A compass, “to find your new path,” pens, “to celebrate having time to write.” The passage ends when she writes “to trust that what we put out into the universe will always come back” – kindness.
