Self-Care Kit is an emotional band aid kit.
A sweet treat in a Tiffany box could be considered self-care but I have a different suggestion for you – create a personal self-care kit. The goal of a self-care kit is to make a bad day better. A self-care kit is a collection of your favorite items that make you feel good and boost your emotions. Include all your senses in your selections:
Smell – Lavender essential oil for aromatherapy
Touch – silk eye pillow filled with lavender and flax seed.
Sight - Photos of loved ones or sentimental notes.
Spirit - Guided Meditation or your favorite music play list.
Taste - Sweet, savory, and salty foods but junk the junk food.
Sound - Motivational quotes read aloud.
Activities
2. Sitting down to a scrumptious meal isn’t going to happen today. Have on hand on-the-go snacks like protein bars and bottled water or juice. Keep your freezer full of easy meals. Grilled cheese and tomato soup – perfect.
3. Pact things that make you feel pampered and beautiful and calm. Comfy clothes including a sweatshirt, blanket or afghan, a fuzzy pair of socks, scented candles, and calming media to distract you.
