The years went by,
the clock kept ticking,
time passed so quickly.
Once we strolled holding hands,
years passed and before we knew it.
time passed so quickly.
Through the good times and the bad,
holding each other when we were sad.
time passed so quickly.
I set out with a plan today.
I groaned: Why, there’s never enough time these days.
time passed too quickly.
One day I looked around,
the only thing left to say -
time passed so quickly.
What to do?
Stay focused on today’s plan.
Centering on petite pleasures and
time passes more slowly.
My vision became more crystalized –
my memories, my confidence, my wisdom, my judgement.
Even though time is passing so quickly.
