Forever Young
Listen to Bob Dylan sing his song:
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young.
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the light surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
Stanka Kordic, born in America to Croatian parents, left the commercial art world in 1988 to establish her artistic freedom, which led to portrait commissions developing her personal figurative work.
"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words,"
said Robert Frost
Stanka agrees that, like poetry, painting reveals itself as the poet’s words do.
"My practice is centered on responding to the paint in the present moment, within the boundaries that figurative representation provides.”
Stanka Kordic
Life lesson: “Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” —Kahlil Gibran
Find your words, find your paint, find your life.
