Getting Started

“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes every day – unless you’re too busy.

 Then you should sit for an hour.” – Zen proverb


Meditation can offer general health and mental/emotional benefits, may include:

lower blood pressure, reduced stress, better sleep, improved emotional regulation, increased focus, enhanced mood, reduced aggression, greater adaptability, healthier aging process, a greater sense of empathy and connection with others.


Meditation may also help with symptoms of specific conditions, may include:

depression and anxiety disorders, cardiovascular disease, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, insomnia, attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and chronic pain
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try different types.
It often takes a little trial and error until you find the one that fits. Open yourself up to the possibilities.
