April 5, 2023 – I’m seeing RED

Apr 05, 2023 by Eileen Adler

Seeing red is an expression that explains what happens when you get really angry and lose your cool. When you are so angry you can only focus on the thing that has made you mad. “Seeing red” comes from bull fighting, when the Matador waves his red cape, annoying and then angering the bull. It’s not really the color but rather the movement that irritates the bull and he charges. The cape is traditionally red to mask the bloodstains.

Maybe it’d be better to wear red
than to see red!

When we think of red, so many adjectives pop into our minds like bold, love, power, passion, confidence, energy, and exciting. Make red a part of your make-up, lipstick, manicure, footwear, and bags to spice up your overall look. Studies have documented that red invites others to form positive perceptions about you. Like the LBD (Little Black Dress), the red dress enhances how you feel about yourself as well.
Audrey Hepburn said, “There is a shade of red for every woman.”

“Pretty Woman” with Julia Roberts, features an exoitic red dress, and who can forget that iconic image?
