"Courageous care partners recharge with self-care, striving for peaceful pinnacles
in patience, persistence, and positive
changes, knowing when to conquer and when to comfort."

You are Infinite

The author of this quote is unknown,

“In my life, I've lived, I've loved, I've lost, I've missed, I've hurt, I've trusted,

I've made mistakes, but most of all, I've learned...”

We have been there, done that and so has our care receiver, but we want to feel empathy for our care receiver to exhibit our ability to understand their feelings through their journey. What have they lived, loved, lost, missed, hurt, trusted, what mistakes have they made, and what have they learned? Atticus Finch, the courageous lawyer and loving father, explains his philosophy to his young daughter in Harper Lee’s book, To Kill a Mockingbird“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

Self-care Ritual: Learn something new about your care receiver. The conversation will meander down uncharted paths leading toward new enlightenments.
